Recently I started trying to teach myself PHP, and I've been doing a lot of different tutorials. The one I'm working on at the moment is on how to build a simple discussion forum (in sams teach yourself php, mysql and appache in 24 hours), now I have followed the set up of all the databases and code exactly, I've checked it about a hundred times to make sure all my syntax is right, but it still won't let me insert data into the database. i can extract data and display it, but I can't fucking put it in. It's bloody driving me nuts trying to figure out whats wrong with it.
The only thing I can think of is that the syntax in the tutorial is wrong, so thanks a lot sams, I give you free publicity and you give me a tutorial with the wrong fucking syntax. Now I'm gunna have to go and read a whole bunch of other shit to try and figure out how to build the right syntax to make this bloody thing work.
