The other week in class, we had to do an assignment where we had to recreate 3 web page designs, 3 A3 magazine spread designs as well as doing 3 original web page designs and 3 magazine spreads of our own and then present it to the class.
After this exercise, our teacher, luke, recommended that we keep up this practice to improve our designs. To that end I have started to collect a range of screen shots of various web sites that I visit, so that i can attempt to recreate them. I have tried to choose a rather eclectic range of sites that are designed for a variety of applications (e.g. e-commerse, video sharing, flash etc) so that I can become well versed in a number of different styles of sites.
On another note, following on from my rant about how much i hate working at f$cking woolies and why I can't seem to get off my ass and actually do something worthwhile and constructive, I have finally got off my ass and started developing a plan to get my little business venture off the ground. Not sure how I'm gunna handle studying full time (especially with all the assignments and stuff) and trying to get a business off the ground, but we'll see how I go.
The important thing is that I get out of F*&KING WOOLWORTHS!!!!
